Niben is our flagship outdoor strain - bred for generations in Vermont's Green Mountains she thrives in northern New England's sometimes challenging climate.  She's very cold hardy (frost tolerant), resists botrytis in all but the worst conditions, and is unphazed by regular insect pressures.  But wait, there's more: brilliant magentas, bright lime greens; a nose of melons, berries, musk, menthol, and hashish translates onto the tongue as deep chunky perfume hash notes that linger.  She's been selected primarily for flavor, and is able to fully develop and express impressive terps outside.  But wait, there's more: Niben's also as strong as anything else in her class.  Her origins  provided very potent stock from both sides, and preserving potency and flavor while also keeping the harvest in September ended up being acheivable goals.
If we were growing one strain outside, this would be it.  Great yields of stoney, tasty, indica goodness, in a bulletproof package.  Also makes exceptionally potent, terpy extracts.  
 
The name Niben is an approximation of the Abenaki word for Summer, an ancient female diety whose irresistible beauty ensured the retreat of Winter every year.  We thought it was an appropriate name for this irresistible summer beauty.
